Description: One of the first animal species to be uplifted, the elves are descended from lab mice that were used in the development of the neural-regen virus. It was from these mice that the virus was spread throughout the world, resulting in the uplifting event. Unlike other uplifted species, the elves were relatively docile during the early years of the uplift era; mostly keeping to themselves in there own cities. It wasn't until decades after the uplift wars that the elves decided to make themselves known; making them one of the last species to be indoctrinated into the "Interspecies Rights act". While they're on good terms with humans; they are at odds with goblins (who are descended from rats that were also test subjects for the neural-regen virus) and dwarves (descended from squirrels).
Elven society is unique in that both males and females have equal rights from the beginning. Children (known as elflings) are entered into the education system at the age of three, and complete their education at the age of twelve. Compared to most other uplifted species, elves don't participate in any form of vices (such as drug abuse or pre-marital sex); and as such, elvish cities don't have places like strip clubs or bars (though they do have pharmacies, they are purely for medicinal reasons). Elvish government is a monarchy in the sense that one elf has all the power; but these monarchs are elected into power. Elvish funerals are city wide affairs, as elves see every member as essential to society.

Here's a little concept I've been thinking of for awhile. I've always been a fan of speculative future evolution concepts (like douglas dixon's "After man" and "the Future is Wild". I noticed that a lot of people here have their own little concepts, so I decided to make my own. Do elves have troubles when visiting other societies that are relatively promiscuous (humans, goblins, fauns, cait sith, pretty much most uplifts)?
